I’m a huge fan of the Hyatt Hotels, in the past I had an amazing time at the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta. So when my friends want to come and experience the Hyatt Ziva Cancun I was ecstatic to go. What a better way to escape the cold in New York than to head south to Cancun! All we wanted to do was relax, get out of the hustle and bustle and just not have to think for a few days.
The best thing about this resort is that its located on the corner of two beaches. Each have their own ambience with one being relaxing and calm, while the other is located next to the restaurants and bars so its more lively. There were endless things to do on the grounds and food to try. From teppanyaki bars, sports games, a dessert parlor, to swimming with dolphins. The resort does a very good job of keeping their guests entertained.
We stayed at the Turquoise tower of the hotel which is well worth the upgrade. All the rooms are suites and have a private balcony jacuzzi. The best part is that staying in the Turquoise tower gives your access to their amazing spa which I’ve written about in another post because it deserves its own highlight. Also there is access to the adults only infinity rooftop pool. I loved coming there after a full day of exploring Chichen Itza and just relax in the heated pool while enjoying a wonderful view of the sunset.
Waking up opening the windows, it was amazing to just breathe in that warm air and see the sparkling blue ocean waters in front of us. Cancun is a little piece of paradise that’s so easy to get to. Outside of exploring Chichen Itza our only plans were to relax, eat and explore the resort. One of the funnest meals was at the Mexican restaurant next to the water. You don’t have to get out of your swim attire and can hang on their swings as they whip up some delicious ceviche and tacos.
As the sunset we went over to some hammocks laying in the ocean to take some nice pics next to a beautiful light house. It was a such a relaxing spot and definitely one of the most best photo op locations on the hotel grounds. I really loved my little get away here, just the perfect spot to spend in Cancun.
I hope you enjoyed my experience at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun!
